Hot Openings: Mandarin Oriental flag now flies in Atlanta

The 42-story, 127-room Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta joined Atlanta’s skyline this week.

The hotel, built in 2008 and previously known as The Mansion on Peachtree and managed by Rosewood Hotels and Resorts, Dallas, was reflagged by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Hong Kong, as part of a management agreement it signed in March for the property.

The intimate hotel features a 15,000 sq ft (1,393 sq m) spa, lap pool, fitness center, meeting and event space, The Café & Bar for dining and Taipan, which serves specialty cocktails. The Buckhead location includes dining, chic designer boutiques and cultural attractions. The hotel is 35 minutes from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and 10 minutes from the DeKalb-Peachtree Airport, which accommodates private aircraft.

The hotel is offering a “More in Atlanta” offer that provides a third night free when reserving two consecutive nights through September 1. Room rates are from US$295 per night.
