Hot Openings: Boutique hotel in NYC’s Nolita promises homey feel

The Nolitan, which bills itself as the first boutique hotel in New York City’s Nolita neighborhood, opened at the corner of Kenmare and Elizabeth Streets earlier this month.

The 55-room property, created by Veracity Development and designed by New York City’s Grzywinski+Pons, aims to make every guest feel at home via touches such as following up reservations with a direct email asking guests to complete a personal profile.

“We’re a luxury hotel that values warmth, being down-to-earth and making genuine human connections with our guests,” said General Manager Patrik Horstmann. “We’re a place where we welcome your friends, your pets and your quirky requests. We’re your home when you’re here, and we treat you like family.”

The hotel’s design emphasizes connectivity with the architecture of Nolita. The ground floor has a glass façade, and guestrooms offer private balconies or floor-to-ceiling windows. Photos used courtesy of Floto+Warner
