Hot lifestyle brand makes mark in Asia

Artyzen Hospitality Group, through Artyzen CitizenM Asia Ltd., announced Tuesday that it will manage the first CitizenM in Asia Pacific in Q4 2016 after being awarded the contract for a Taipei hotel by an entity controlled by Alpha Asia Macro Trends Fund II. The Fund is managed by Alpha Investment Partners (Alpha), the property fund management arm of Singapore developer Keppel Land.

Artyzen Hospitality Group and CitizenM hotels have set up a joint venture operating company, Artyzen CitizenM Asia Ltd. to introduce and manage the rollout of the CitizenM brand in Asia. It is also setting its sights on keys cities like Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore, Jakarta and Bangkok.

This first deal for a 260-room hotel is located in Ximending, the colorful retail and entertainment hub that is known as the Harajuku and Shibuya of Taipei.

CitizenM now operates seven hotels in cities including London, Paris and New York. A further 6 hotels are currently being developed, bringing the global room count to almost 3,000 keys. Looking ahead, key target cities include the capitals and gateway cities of Europe, North America and Asia. Target projects include new builds, mixed-use developments, conversions and the rebranding of existing hotels.
