Grand Hyatt to flag mixed-use project in Philippines

TAGUIG CITY, PHILIPPINES Developer Federal Land Inc. has tapped Hyatt Hotels Corp. to manage a 66-story hotel as the centerpiece of a US$300 million mixed-use project in Taguig City.

The Grand Hyatt-flagged property, to be owned by Metrobank Group, is slated for completion in 2014, BusinessWorld reports. The first six floors of the hotel will house the lobby, a grand ballroom and meeting rooms, while floors eight through 30 will be reserved for corporate offices. Guestrooms and hotel facilities will be on the 31st floor and higher.

This will be Chicago-based Hyatt’s second property in the Philippines, joining the 376-key Hyatt Hotel and Casino Manila.
