Global Hotel Alliance hotels offer 2-hour mini tours for busy business travelers

GENEVA Global Hotel Alliance has launched a program catering to business travelers who may not have the time to devote to excursions but who still want to experience local culture.

Through its recently relaunched GHA Discovery loyalty program, numerous alliance properties are promoting “GHA Discovery Experience Express” offerings. Each Experience Express activity is designed by the local hotel to provide exclusive access to cultural and off-the-beaten path activities in two hours or less.

The list of condensed experiences includes visiting Bangkok’s famed Tuk Tuk temple via Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas, rooftop vodka tasting in Russia with Kempinski Hotels, an aroma facial in Australia with Mirvac Hotels or cycling along the Yangtze River in China with Marco Polo Hotels. There are about 100 speedy experiences for the fashionable, the foodie, the history buff and outdoorsman.

“I travel all the time myself, so I can relate to the traveler who wants to take advantage of a bit of spare time on a business trip,” says Chris Hartley, CEO of Global Hotel Alliance. “GHA Discovery’s Experience Express was built to offer fun and fascinating local experiences so that business travelers don’t need to go home, like they so often do, having seen no more than an airport terminal, a hotel and an office.”

Experience Express awards vary by membership level, with more exclusive rewards reserved for higher levels. To see a complete list of Experience Express options, visit www.ghadiscovery.com/express.
