Frasers launches new brand

Singapore-based Frasers Hospitality launched on Thursday a new serviced residences brand, Capri by Fraser.

All Capri by Fraser properties will have hotel licenses and there are plans to roll out the brand aggressively across Asia, which will start with the launch of its flagship property Capri by Fraser @ Changi City, Singapore in the third quarter of this year. This will be followed by the opening of two more properties Capri by Fraser @ Bangsar, located in in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Capri by Fraser @ District 7-HCMC, located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

“Capri by Fraser bridges the gap between hotels and serviced residences to meet the short term accommodation needs of the 24/7 digital generation who work and play to a different beat from that of the business travellers of the past,” said Choe Peng Sum, Frasers Hospitality CEO. “Market feedback has indicated that while regional travel stays are becoming shorter, usually between one to two weeks, they are also becoming more frequent, with professionals working longer, irregular hours across different time zones.”

The brand will focus on offering amenities 24/7 and technology to foster social experiences. This will include an all-hours bar, café and deli as well as a Laundromat equipped with a Wii, XBox Kinect and board games.

Frasers said its portfolio, including those branded Capri by Fraser-branded, will grow to 73 properties in 39 cities across the world within the next three years.
