Four Points Facebook contest offers US$25,000 for most outrageous story

WHITE PLAINS, NEW YORK The Four Points by Sheraton brand is sponsoring a Facebook contest that boasts a US$25,000 grand prize for the outrageous true tale that generates the most votes.

Those with compelling stories can enter the “Win $25K” contest via Four Points’ Facebook page through August 10. To enter, Facebook users must “like” the Four Points page and share their stories in 500 words or less.

Voting fans have the chance to win a weekly prize of a two-night stay at any Four Points hotel in the United States or Canada, along with a US$50 beer tab. The grand-prize winner will be announced September 7.

“This is our way of celebrating all of the hard work business travelers do every day and the stories they rack up on the road,” says Brian McGuinness, senior vice president of specialty select brands for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. “Four Points is known for catering to business travelers’ needs. Learning from their successes, and inevitable mishaps, helps us to further enhance their stay.”
