Formule 1 rooms undergo metamorphosis

Formule 1, Accor’s budget brand with more than 80 hotels in Australia, Brazil, Indonesia, Japan and South Africa, has introduced its new “Cocoon” room concept.

F1 properties in Canberra, Campbelltown and Wentworthville, Australia, are the first to feature the new rooms, which offer wood-look floors, flat-screen TVs, soft colors and extra storage space. They also boast earth-friendly amenities such as water-efficient showers and toilets, recyclable materials and energy-efficient lighting.

Accor plans to roll out the Cocoon Rooms to all 20 F1 hotels in Australia over the next few years.
