Florida Boutique Hotel Duval Signs As Marriott’s 11th Autograph

TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA Hotel Duval has joined Marriott International’s Autograph Collection. It will continue to operate autonomously, keeping its name and identity while taking advantage of Marriott’s global reservations and sales and marketing channels.

Duval is the 11th hotel worldwide to join the cluster of luxury boutique properties. The 117-key hotel is owned and managed by Duval Partners LLC and will operate under a franchise agreement with Marriott.

“We are proud to be associated with the exclusive Autograph Collection, and we know that Marriott’s global reservation systems—along with their strong customer outreach—are going to be tremendous assets for our property,” says co-owner Chad Kittrell. “By maintaining our independence and benefiting from the Marriott support, the relationship is a win-win.”

Originally opened in 1951, Duval reopened in 2009 under the local ownership of Kittrell, J.T. Burnette and Frank Whitley. It is home to Shula’s 347 Grill, a sports-themed steakhouse, along with LeRoc café and the Level 8 rooftop lounge.

“By maintaining our independence and benefiting from the Marriott support the Autograph Collection relationship brings, Hotel Duval is set to excel,” says GM Marc Bauer. “The Autograph Collection also helps to solidify Hotel Duval’s positioning as Tallahassee’s only upscale, boutique hotel.”
