First stage of US$711m Hilton Surfers Paradise opens

SURFERS PARADISE, AUSTRALIA Hilton Hotels & Resorts announces the opening of the first stage of Hilton Surfers Paradise, the brand’s first combination hotel and residences in Australia.

This first stage of the new-build US$711 million Hilton Surfers Paradise, called the Boulevard Tower, comprises 134 residential apartments, managed by Hilton Worldwide. The Orchid Tower, featuring a 169-key Hilton hotel and further residential apartments, is scheduled for completion late in 2011.

“We expect Hilton Surfers Paradise to prove extremely popular with holiday-makers to the Gold Coast seeking state-of-the-art, flexible accommodation options, coupled with the refreshing hospitality that the Hilton brand is renowned for across the globe,” says Dave Horton, global head of Hilton Hotels & Resorts. “With the introduction of Hilton Surfers Paradise, we aim to marry our brand’s global standards with the local characteristics of Surfers Paradise and present the Gold Coast with a truly unique hospitality offering.”

Leisure and recreational facilities offered at Boulevard Tower include an indoor lap pool and spa, sauna, gymnasium and barbecue pavilion.

Hilton Surfers Paradise is the ninth Hilton-branded property in Australia.
