Dallas Westin to change flags, possibly to Marriott

DALLAS The Westin City Center Dallas is leaving the Starwood Hotels & Resorts portfolio next month.

The 407-key hotel will be dropping the Westin flag as of September 30, according to a notice on its website. Marriott International is in talks with owner LaSalle Hotel Properties about flagging the property, according to a Dallas Morning News report. Marriott officials have declined to comment.

A Westin spokeswoman says the hotel is being sold, and that the new owner wants a different flag.
