Commune Hotels & Resorts, the recently renamed joint venture company created last year between lifestyle operators Thompson Hotels and Joie de Vivre, announced a hotel management deal on Wednesday in Mexico.
The first is a 114-room luxury resort located in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, set to open in 2014. The property includes views of the El Arco de Cabo San Lucas rock formation and features 60 condominiums.
Commune also confirmed that it has assumed management of Seaside Hotel, located in Honolulu. The hotel will undergo a renovation and will be relaunched as a Joie de Vivre hotel in December 2012. In the interim, it is being managed as an independent property.
Commune, formerly JT Hospitality, was renamed last month.
