Canopy by Hilton announced a new social media campaign that spotlights locals’ point of view through interviews with the brand. “Meet the Neighbors” will debut at the brand’s inaugural property, Canopy Reykjavik | City Centre in Iceland, scheduled to open in early 2016. Following the launch, the program will dedicate one week per month to sharing curated neighbor spotlights across select regions.
“Reykjavik is a thriving city with a robust creative community and a unique energy,” said Gary Steffen, global head at Canopy by Hilton. “We are excited to discover more of Reykjavik and Canopy’s other destinations with our ‘Meet The Neighbors’ campaign through the tips and advice of our new neighbors.”
The program’s first feature will be Iceland’s Langjokull glacier. Followers will see the glacier from the inside and learn about the making of the man-made ice cave tunnel. Laurgardalur, a popular recreational, fitness, and green area in Reykjavik, will be the program’s second feature and ?Slippbarinn, a popular Reykjavik cocktail bar among locals, will be the third.
