Caesars offers glimpse of upcoming Las Vegas strip project

Caesars Entertainment Corp. has released renderings of The Linq, the US$550 million retail, dining, entertainment and hospitality district it is planning for the Las Vegas Strip.

The Linq, which will cover more than 200,000 sq ft (18,580 sq m) directly facing Caesars Palace, is designed to appeal to the region’s growing clientele between the ages of 21 and 46. Its focal point will be The Las Vegas High Roller, which will be the world’s tallest observation wheel at 550 ft (168 m).

Caesars has retained Caruso Affiliated, which has worked on developments such as The Grove in Los Angeles, as the exclusive leasing agent for the project, which is scheduled to open in 2013.

On The Linq’s north side, a walking path will lead from the Carnaval Court outdoor plaza at Harrah’s Las Vegas resort through the Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino and to The Linq. A pedestrian connection also will be built from The Linq into Flamingo Las Vegas on the south. Photos used courtesy of Caesars Entertainment Corp.
