Briefs: Reservations open at The Pearl’s Four Seasons; Dusit Hotels’ expansion plans

RESERVATIONS OPEN AT THE PEARL’S FOUR SEASONS: The new Four Seasons Resort and Residences at The Pearl-Qatar in Doha has begun accepting reservations ahead of its reopening this spring. This is Four Seasons’ second hotel in Doha. Located on a private beach at the end of Porto Arabia Drive, the hotel comprises 161 luxury, seaside one-, two, or three-room apartments. Each room has living areas, fully equipped kitchens, ensuite laundry and outdoor furnished terraces, all finished by Wimberly Interiors. The property includes seven restaurants and bars, a private beach, two outdoor pools, a spa, a gym, and salons.   

DUSIT HOTELS’ EXPANSION PLANS: Thailand-based Dusit Hotels and Resorts under Dusit International has announced its expansion plans for the year, including its debut in Japan and Europe and growing its global presence with strategic openings in China, India, Kenya, Nepal and Thailand. The company plans to open two new hotels in Japan in the second and third quarters of 2023. Dusit will make its European debut in the first quarter of 2019 with the opening of a property in Athens, Greece. In addition, in Q2, the company will open its first location in Nepal. Dusit-branded properties will return to India and Kenya. Dusit will open three wellness-focused properties in China, where the company operates 11 hotels. Dusit will open a dual-branded hotel in Bangkok and expand further south, bringing its domestic portfolio to 18. 

CASSIA JERUSALEM OPENS: Cassia Jerusalem has reopened in Jerusalem after a three-year renovation under a new brand. The newly reimagined boutique hotel, formerly known as King Solomon Hotel Jerusalem, has 148 rooms and suites, a wellness area, rooftop pools and cabanas, and it will open a spa soon. Irena Gordon will also curate an art program at the hotel. 

ELEVATED RITZ-CARLTON CLUB: Following a successful launch in Mainland China last year, The Ritz-Carlton has introduced a new elevated experience, The Ritz-Carlton Club, in its hotels across the Asia Pacific. It will combine business and leisure travel and provide bespoke services. Upgraded offerings include curated culinary options and personalized experiences. 

LEMON TREE GROWS INDIAN PORTFOLIO:  New Delhi-based Lemon Tree Hotels has signed a new hotel — Lemon Tree Hotel, Bharuch, Gujarat. The hotel will open in June 2025 and will be managed by Carnation Hotels Pvt. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary and management vertical of Lemon Tree Hotels. The 83-room hotel will feature a restaurant, banquet, gym and public spaces. The group has five operational hotels in Gujarat and has two more in the pipeline.
