Briefs: Replay Destination unveils hotel in California; PUBLIC Hotel partners with Stayntouch

REPLAY DESTINATION UNVEILS HOTEL IN HEALDSBURG: Replay Destinations, the fully-integrated destination development company, has unveiled plans for the development a luxury hotel in Healdsburg, Calif. The new, 53-room hotel will form the heart of Mill District, a new master planned neighborhood in downtown Healdsburg. Replay Destinations will redevelop a former lumber mill site spanning 10 acres. The hotel will feature a restaurant and bar, spa and wellness center and an outdoor pool. Replay will own the hotels. Besides the hotel, Mill District will also have residences and amenities including a pool, fitness center, retail outlets and a neighborhood park. The project is currently in the design review process with the City of Healdsburg. Construction is anticipated to begin from spring 2025.

PUBLIC HOTEL, STAYNTOUCH PARTNERSHIP: Stayntouch, the cloud-based hotel property management system, has collaborated with Ian Schrager’s tech-forward PUBLIC Hotel in Manhattan to provide a “luxury for all” experience. The hotel uses Stayntouch PMS and kiosk solutions for a tailored and seamless check-in experience, efficient operations and improved connectivity to third-party platforms. With Stayntouch, PUBLIC Hotel has integrated third-party platforms to manage the operations of seven dining outlets in the hotel. The hotel has also achieved a major reduction in costs, while enhancing connectivity by consolidating multiple tech vendors into a single kiosk solution.

MY PLACE HOTELS OF AMERICA OPENS IN S.D.: My Place Hotels of America has opened My Place Hotel-Mitchell, S.D. This is the 72nd open and operating My Place property in the U.S. and the seventh My Place in South Dakota. The hotel, which was developed by Mitchell Holdings, LLC, is managed by Venerts Hotel Management, Inc. The 63-room hotel offers standard My Place amenities, including a 24-hour My Place grab-and-go outlet, a business center, laundry facilities and a grilling pavilion. My Place Hotels of America has more than 120 hotels in its pipeline.

FAIRMONT AUSTIN SECURES $430M REFINANCING: JLL’s Capital Markets Group has arranged a $430 million refinancing for the Fairmont Austin. The 37-story luxury hotel is located in in downtown Austin. JLL Capital Markets represented Manchester Financial Group to secure the five-year, interest only fixed-rate SASB CMBS loan, with Goldman Sachs acting as a lead manager and only bookrunner. The all-mortgage financing package replaces a $300MM senior loan and $125MM of mezzanine debt. Developed by Manchester Financial Group, Fairmont Austin is the city’s fifth-tallest building. Opened in 2018, the hotel features 1,048 rooms, around 140,000 square feet of meeting space, a spa, five dining venues, an outdoor pool deck and a grand pedestrian walkway offering direct access to the Austin Convention Center.

LONDON’S GREAT NORTHERN HOTEL SELLS: Kaya Holdings, the Turkish owner and operator, has acquired the Great Northern Hotel in London. The purchase price was not disclosed. Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller, a private equity investor; while Kaya Holdings was advised by BlackGate and Fladgate LLP. The 88-room hotel is located in the middle of King’s Cross St. Pancras and is considered as one of London’s initial purpose-built hotels. Opened in 1854, the hotel’s architecture was designed by Lewis Cubitt, who also designed the King’s Cross station. Renovated and reopened in 2013, Great Northern Hotel operates under Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio. The deal follows a series of significant hotel deals advised by Cushman & Wakefield in London, including the acquisition of the Covent Garden Hotel on behalf of Firmdale Hotels and the sale of both New London House and Great Tower Street, which are both set to be converted to hotels.
