Briefs: First Vignette Collection in Americas; Four Seasons to Taiwan

IHG’S VIGNETTE COLLECTION DEBUTS IN AMERICAS: IHG Hotels & Resorts has debuted Vignette Collection in the Americas with the opening of Yours Truly DC in Washington, D.C. The hotel comprises 355 rooms and is designed by Simeone Deary Design Group. The hotel also features a record store in the lobby, a restaurant and bar, a barber shop, a gym and 15,000 square feet of event space, including a 3,400 square-foot ballroom. Yours Truly DC is the fourth Vignette Collection-branded hotel to open, following openings in Australia, Thailand and Portugal. The brand has 14 hotels in the pipeline, with more than 100 properties globally set to join in the next ten years. Vignette Collection is one of IHG’s latest brands in its luxury and lifestyle portfolio.   

FOUR SEASONS TO TAIWAN: Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and the Taipei-based Yuan Lih Construction Co. Ltd have unveiled plans for a new luxury hotel in Taipei. Set to be located opposite the Taipei 101 skyscraper, the 31-story Four Seasons Hotel Taipei will feature 260 rooms, multiple restaurants, a bar and a lobby lounge. The 180-meter-tall hotel will also include an executive club lounge, fitness center pool, spa and event spaces. RSHP has been selected to design the hotel. Four Seasons currently operates 126 hotels and resorts and 53 residential properties across 47 countries, with more than 50 projects under development.   

LEUMI INKS €42.55M REFINANCING DEAL IN DUBLIN: Hotel lender Leumi UK has signed a €42.55 million ($45.49 million) facility deal with Centauro Investment XI SARL, an SPV-owned by London-based Zetland Capital, to refinance the 145-room Morrison Hotel in Dublin. The contract for the Hilton Curio-branded hotel has been set for a five-year term. The hotel recently leveraged the money to drive ESG-led initiatives to save expenses and reduce carbon emissions. 

IHCL SIGNS VIVANTA IN INDIA: Mumbai-based Indian Hotels Co. Ltd. (IHCL) has signed a Vivanta-branded hotel in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. The greenfield hotel will be IHCL’s debut property in the city. The India-based hotel company has partnered with Sailaja Hotels and Resorts Pvt. Ltd. for the hotel. The 120-key property will feature an all-day diner, a bar, a pool, a fitness center and more than 550 square meters of event space. With this property, IHCL will have six hotels in Andhra Pradesh, including two under development.
