The Beau-Rivage Palace in Lausanne, Switzerland, has unveiled a new bar specializing in bespoke cocktails.

Named simply Bar, the space was designed in partnership with Wilsdon Design Associates and Gorgeous Group to exude a modern-meets-traditional feel. Period tapestry blends with a transparent onyx bar, antique glass vases sit atop metal and oak shelves and lighting is placed to highlight the space’s decorative moldings and pillars.

Bar is stocked with more than 250 spirits including rarities such as Havana Club Maximo and White Bowmore 1964. The Dry Martini Maison and Barrel-Aged Manhattan are among the cocktails, all of which are accompanied by a recipe for guests to take home. Once a drink has been prepared, it is lightly sprayed with a regional fruit-flavored eau de vie from an antique perfume atomizer — a nod to Coco Chanel’s frequent visits to the Beau-Rivage Palace’s bars.

Future plans call for construction of a large outdoor terrace overlooking Lake Geneva.
