Andaz 5th Avenue in New York City has relaunched its picnic basket service with three choices and the option to use an Andaz Picnic Butler to help arrange the outing.
Baskets range from US$35 to US$75 per person, with the butler, who chooses the best possible picnic location and prepares a blanket and the contents, available for US$300. The hotel is in close proximity to some of the city’s best parks.
The picnic baskets are packed with an array of items from the hotel’s restaurant and are fully equipped plates and cutlery. The Sandwich Basket at US$35 per person includes a sandwich choice of prosciutto, chicken schnitzel or grilled vegetables, along with iced tea, water or lemonade and fresh seasonally cut fruit and chips.
For US$45 per person, the Wine Basket includes an assortment of artisanal cheeses, bread, jam and seasonal fruit. Guests can also choose from a variety of wine options to accompany their meal that range from US$48 – US$120.
The Champagne Basket at US$75 per person includes Ostera caviar, blinis strawberries and other seasonal fruits and is served alongside a bottle of Champagne for US$95 to US$220.
