Accor sale nets 200,000 bookings

Accor’s “Super Sale” promotion of 50% which took place from June 16-22 gave the company’s website a new record for visitors with 750,000 in one day.

While the company only made half the money it normally would have from the bookings, given the discount, it did rake in 200,000 bookings during the time period. Exact numbers on return on investment for the discount have not been disclosed.

“We are very pleased with the results of this promotion as it allowed us to offer great deals for summer vacation,” Cedric Gobilliard, Accor senior vice president of direct sales and loyalty, said.

The brands Novotel, Pullman, MGallery, Suite Novetel, Mercure and Adagio were included in the promotion.

Accor has not said if it plans to run a similar promotion in the future.
