PARIS Accor SA has launched mobile applications on two additional operating systems and announces a major enhancement to the booking capability of its year-old iPhone app.
The Accorhotels.com app has been introduced for two additional smartphones: BlackBerry and Samsung’s Bada. The apps lets users search for more than 3,000 hotels around the world under the Pullman, MGallery, Novotel, SuiteNovotel, Mercure, Adagio, Ibis, All Seasons, Etap, Formule 1 and HotelF1 brands. Search results may be based on geolocalization and current date, along with certain desired amenities or by brand.
Accor also announces an enhancement to its iPhone app that lets business travelers find and book negotiated rates. That feature, which will also be available on the BlackBerry app, is expected to go live in a few weeks.
Accor is aiming to book about €20 million worth of business via its smartphone apps this year.
