Accor rolls out enhancements to iPhone app

PARIS A new version of Accor’s iPhone application for iPhone has gone live, featuring more precise search criteria and real-time rate availability.

The enhanced app, which remains free of charge, is purportedly the hotel industry’s only app available in seven languages and is the first to offer video presentations for many properties. It provides users with a more precise search function for booking rooms directly at approximately 3,000 Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery, Mercure, Novotel, Suitehotel, Adagio, Ibis, All Seasons, Etap Hotel, Formule 1 and HotelF1 properties.

Users can now enter the number of adults and children at the outset to streamline the booking process. They can also enter A|Club membership numbers to earn points with each reservation. A new page allows users to select their preferred brands more quickly and easily.

The revised app’s enhanced design makes searches smoother and more intuitive. The results of map-based searches are more complete, with rates posted in real time.
