309-key Bangkok hotel reports 100% occupancy for 35 straight days

BANGKOK Amari Boulevard Bangkok, a 309-guestroom upscale hotel in downtown Bangkok, posted 35 consecutive days—including the entire month of July—without a single vacant room.

The achievement—a first for the hotel—signals a stunning reversal of fortunes for the city’s tourism industry, which was devastated by deadly political clashes earlier this year between protesters and the military. The protests have largely ceased, and hoteliers across Thailand are eager to spread the word that the country remains welcoming for visitors.

“I, on behalf of all staffs at Amari Boulevard, express my sincerest gratitude to all our loyal guests for their trust in the Amari brand, as well as their strong belief in Bangkok, says General Manager Wouter Hazenbroek. “As we all know, Bangkok is a very safe place to live and travel. Bangkok was recently awarded the World’s Best City title, and we trust the tourism industry will be back to normal very soon. Tourists can see our success as a good sign.”

The Amari Boulevard is a first-class city centre hotel, situated in one of Bangkok’s most exciting business and shopping areas. With easy access to Skytrain and underground stations, as well as the airport expressway, this comfortable hotel enjoys an enviable Bangkok location. Perfect for busy executives and holiday-makers alike, this popular hotel also offers great service and a superb array of amenities.

Amari is the flagship brand of Bangkok-based Onyx Hospitality Group.

Amari Boulevard Bangkok GM Wouter Hazenbroek and Deputy GM Chodchai Lee-Anant celebrate with staff the accomplishment of perfect occupancy throughout the entire month of July.
