ATLANTA The 274-key W Atlanta Perimeter is dropping its flag and going independent, although it will retain its affiliation with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.
The changeover, which goes into effect June 1, will see the hotel’s name become Atlanta Perimeter Hotel and Suites. The hotel will continue to participate in the Starwood Preferred Guest loyalty program.
“Though the hotel will no longer fly a W flag, the management and staff are dedicated to ensuring guests have a pleasant stay and you can rest assured all arrangements remain the same for your upcoming stay,” reads a statement on the hotel’s website.
The hotel was Starwood’s second W property, following in 1999 conversion from sibling brand Sheraton Hotels & Resorts.
W Hotels will still be well represented in the Atlanta market, with W Atlanta Midtown, W Atlanta Buckhead and W Atlanta Downtown.
