PALMA DE MALLORCA, SPAIN Sol Meliá Hotels & Resorts has added 11 hotels to sales and marketing consortium Preferred Hotel Group.

The affiliation reinforces the company’s strategic positioning in international and “especially in Anglo-Saxon markets,” the company says.

Alex Hugot, vice president of the ME by Meliá brand in Europe, says the partnership is “a sign of quality which will help us to monitor our standards and ensure the highest possible levels while at the same time allowing us to use their sales platform to position ourselves in markets where we aim to raise our brand recognition.”
