What others think

If you simply read this far, perhaps you’re a person that worries about what others think. Should you care? When should you care?
 
In our hospitality world, we desperately need to be concerned with what others, namely our customers, think. We should not be delivering goods and services that our clients don’t care about. Nor should we as sales people be talking about the facts and features that we like the most. I remember a realtor years ago that shared all of the details about a nearby golf course before even asking the buyers if they were golfers. Do you talk about your 10 restaurants and seven swimming pools when the attendees will only spend time in your ballroom?
 
When is it okay not to care about what others think?
