Toasting an iconic cocktail

Believe it or not, June 19 is National Martini Day. So if you need an excuse to celebrate this iconic cocktail, I’d say that is the perfect reason.

Although a classic Martini is made simply with gin, vermouth and an olive or lemon twist, the drink has innumerable variations. In honor of National Martini Day, here are a few unique Martini recipes from various Benchmark Resorts & Hotels and Personal Luxury Resorts & Hotels properties.

Green Leed Martini
Bardessono, Yountville, California

1.5 oz Tito’s vodka
0.5 oz Cadillac wine
1 oz cucumber/basil
0.5 oz lemon

Shake and double strain into a Martini glass and garnish with a cucumber wheel.

Just Beet It Martini
Sorrento Hotel, Seattle

1.5 oz citrus vodka
0.5 oz fresh beet juice
0.25 oz Domaine De Canton Ginger Liqueur

Top with Cucumber Dry Soda and garnish with a cucumber wedge.

2 oz raspberry-infused Grey Goose vodka
1 oz Curacao Syrup
3 oz blood orange juice
Splash of grenadine

Garnish with a raspberry.
