For us, Nobu is a great partner indeed. I’ve written about Nobu Lanai in a previous post, and the team at Nobu is every bit as committed to delivering exceptional hospitality as we are. It made sense to expand our brainstorming think tank to the well-renowned restaurant group, and a new idea was born — unique sake tastings featuring Hokusetsu, Nobu’s preferred sake brewery, an independent award-winning brewery run by the Hazu family. Established in 1871 on Sado Island in the Sea of Japan, the company is now the exclusive purveyor to Nobu restaurants worldwide.
It’s a great opportunity for our guests to taste sake they may not have had a chance to try before with the added luxury of time, as they are on vacation. The sake master at Nobu Lanai takes our guests from the driest Onigoroshis all the way to the dynamic Daiginjos, and guests learn how appearance, scent, flavor, texture and temperature influence this unique and versatile product.
