Inclusive design of guestrooms II

Recently, I read an article about rooms in hospitals, which were designed not to look like hospital rooms. I always wondered why rooms in hospitals have to look like they do and nobody seems to spend a thought in giving these rooms a nicer design to make the people feel better. But, this is not the topic of this blog.

Some features of these sample rooms show that a room can be attractively designed for use by people with or without limited movability. These rooms can be sold better and are not lost inventory.

I know, that this refers only issues of people with limited movability. The requirements of visually or hearing impaired persons has to be dealt with as well. However, the impact on rooms design is less.

These samples are upscale rooms. It would be interesting to see a design for budget sector rooms. Please let me know if you know examples.
