Openings: St. Regis | Muji | Taj

Small but mighty: Japanese home and lifestyle brand Muji has opened its third hotel located in the center of Tokyo’s upmarket shopping district of Ginza (following openings in Shenzhen and Beijing). The 79-suite Muji Hotel Ginza spans six floors with micro-living interior designs with nine different floorplans, ranging from 151-square-feet to 560 square-feet. The hotel is also home to four restaurants, two galleries and a library with a selection of over 500 book titles available in Japanese, Chinese and Western languages. Daily room rates range from US$133 to US$500 per night.

Welcome to eButler: The 129-room St. Regis Hong Kong has opened, making this the first property for the brand in the city. debut of the iconic luxury brand in the destination. The hotel will have two main F&B outlets: one, L’Envol, will have French haute cuisine from chef Olivier Elzer who has a combined 18 Michelin stars. Rùn, a Cantonese restaurant, will be led by Chef Hung Chi-Kwong. In addition to the brand’s signature butler service, the hotel will also introduce eButler chat – allowing guests to contact their dedicated butler through the Marriott Mobile App, available 24 hours a day, or by scanning an electronic butler contact card that connects the guest to reach the butler via a dedicated line, email, and apps like WhatsApp and WeChat. 

Taj continues journey towards wellness: Taj Rishikesh Resort & Spa, Uttarakhand is now open – the company’s third hotel in the state and a play, according to Indian Hotels Company Limited CEO Puneet Chhatwal, to reach ever further into the wellness and spiritual tourism market. The 79-room resort will have a 20,000 square-foot spa, Jiva, which includes treatment rooms and an expansive yoga pavilion.
