Openings: Nobu | Como | Four Seasons

Los Cabos on fire: Nobu Hotel Los Cabos has officially opened its doors, joining a handful of other hot players tapping into this market. May 2018 saw the debut of both the Montage Los Cabos, set on the destination’s Golden Corridor, as well as the Viceroy Los Cabos. In May, a new Hard Rock hotel is set to open its doors, and in 2021, Accor is planning to open a new property under its SO/ Hotels & Resorts brand. The signature element of the 200-room beachfront property is a Nobu Restaurant serving Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s Japanese-Peruvian fusion cuisine and the hotel also has an outpost of Malibu Farm, a famous farm-to-table restaurant from Malibu that executives that aims to please the West Coast crowd.

Greece’s first Four Seasons: The 303-room Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens is now open on the shores of the Athenian Riviera – the brand’s first in Greece. The property, the former the Astir Palace Hotel, has been fully updated and will have a tennis academy, basketball court and new spa and hydrotherapy house. Meyer Davis Studio created the interiors, Thomas Doxiadis oversaw architectural landscaping and Blu Spas handled the new spa and fitness center. 

Como Tuscany: Como Hotels and Resorts has opened the Como Castello Del Nero, Tuscany – a twelfth-century castle with 50 rooms and suites with revamped interiors by Milanese designer, Paola Navone. The move is significant for Como as it marks the company’s first property to open on continental Europe. 

Lennox Miami Beach: The boutique Lennox Hotel Miami Beach will open this summer. Located in what was once the Peter Miller Hotel, the 119-room property has had a US$70 million investment from parent company Lennox Hotels injected into its revamp. Daily room cost will range from US$199 – US$400 per night.
