Not just pot – wellness: Las Vegas-based MJ Holdings, a diversified publicly traded holding company providing complete seed-to-sale services to the regulated cannabis industry, has launched the first of its eight currently planned health and wellness cannabis-based hotels in partnership with Alternative Hospitality, a division of MJ Holdings. Alternative Hospitality will launch a portfolio of health and wellness cannabis-based hotels featuring a dispensary, wellness goods, and services to educate guests around cannabis. The company’s first hotel in this vein will break ground later this year on the 150-room Coachill Inn Resort in Desert Hot Springs, California.

London fared well in March: STR’s preliminary March 2019 data for London indicates strong performance.

Based on daily data from the month, London reported the following in year-over-year comparisons:

Demand: +4.6%
Occupancy: +2.1% to 81.6%
ADR: +1.7% to £138.13 (US$181)
RevPAR: +3.8% to £112.68 (US$147)

The absolute RevPAR level is the highest for any March in STR’s London Database. STR analysts attribute the performance to several events in the market—a pair of Six Nations rugby matches and the Passenger Terminal Expo.
