Briefs: Wanda has its Moments | Seeing Red in Vienna

Wanda introduces new strategy, brand: China’s Wanda Hotels & Resorts announced that it is changing its development strategy to become more asset-light with a focus on project management services. In addition, it introduced Wanda Moments, a new mid-scale hotel brand, signed six management contracts with new owners, and said it plans to develop 700 hotels around China in the next five years. Moments is aimed at business travelers in a concept that integrates “art, culture, intelligence and fashion.” The company also re-introduced its loyalty program, Wanda Club, which has revamped its points accumulation, membership and points redemption system.

Radisson Red in Vienna: Radisson Hospitality AB signed a select-service Radisson Red in Vienna, Austria. The 179-room hotel will open in 2021 in the city’s Leopoldstadt area. It will be operated by Radisson Hospitality.

Hyatt to debut in Albania: Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s Hyatt Regency brand will open the 151-room Hyatt Regency Tirana in late 2019. The management agreement with Kastrati Hotels & Tower shpk, a privately owned group of companies, will bring the first Hyatt-branded hotel to Albania.
