Radisson grows in Lithuania. Rezidor Hotel Group has signed the Park Inn by Radisson Vilnius Airport Hotel & Business Center. Expected to open in 2020, this 120-room hotel will be the group’s sixth hotel in operation and pipeline in Lithuania, and the fourth in the city. The group plans to add a Radisson Red. Radisson Hotel Group’s portfolio in the entire Baltics States rises to 18 hotels with more than 4,100 rooms.
Sbe hire. Lifestyle hospitality company Sbe has appointed Siddharth Narang as chief development officer. Narang will drive sbe’s development pipeline, real estate investments and growth globally.
Lotte in NYC affiliates. Los Angeles-based Luxe Collection by L.E. Hotels has added the Lotte New York Palace to its premier collection.
Group intermediation. A new Kalibri Labs report reveals increased intermediation in the groups and meetings segment of the hotel industry, the associated costs and future projections. The report highlights that groups and meetings business in the U.S. represents approximately US$300 billion, with about US$140 billion spent in hotels. Of this US$140 billion in hotel spend, about US$30 billion represents room revenue, with F&B, ground transportation, AV and other ancillary requirements making up the balance.
