California-based Dream Hollywood has rolled out its premier suite, a 1,800-square-foot, glass walled space targeted at those looking for smaller meetings and events.
At the Guest House at Dream Hollywood (the property opened this past summer), the pricetag on such an offering wasn’t cheap. California-based Kevin Young was behind the suite’s window-heavy design, which had a project cost of US$400,000. The hotel is hoping to recoup that money within the first year, according to a spokeswoman for Dream Hollywood.
In one year, the property expects the room to make between US$400 and US$500k. In five to seven years, the property may renovate, at which the ROI on the suite would also change.
Guests who enter the suite through an oversized pivoting wood feature door and immediately see a dining area accompanying a living room that also serves as a screening room with additional entertaining space on a private terrace.
The space, which also has a master bedroom with plush blue-velvet platform bed, can accommodate seated dinners for up to 20 and receptions for up to 40.
The 178-room hotel’s façade was designed by L.A.-based Killefer Flammang Architects; additionally, the property offers a gym and wellness program designed by celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson.
