Marriott’s Fairfield gets brand refresh

In honor of 30-years of Fairfield, Marriott International has unveiled a new design concept for the brand.

The concept for Fairfield, Marriott’s second largest brand with some 900 locations, has its origins in Fairfield Farm, a ranch in Hume, Virginia purchased by J.W. and Alice Marriott in 1951. The farm hosted friends of the family as well as business associates and dignitaries (including U.S. presidents Eisenhower and Reagan) and laid the foundation for the brand’s founding in 1987.

Marriott has colored the new Fairfield concept with the idea of that original farm. The design includes a farmhouse-style communal table in the lobby, photography from the Fairfield Farm serving as artwork in the lobby and guest rooms, natural materials and unique textures featured throughout, and a history wall in every property showcasing the brand’s roots. The new design launches in November and will be on display in properties this fall.
