Netherlands-based CitizenM opened its third hotel in France, the 338-room CitizenM Paris Gare de Lyon.
Dutch firm Concrete was both architect and designer in collaboration with AREP and the Duthilleul agency.
New to Paris, guest rooms have headboards equipped with integrated light switches. Public areas – what CitizenM calls living rooms – have oversized fireplaces and the signature black citizenM cabinets as well as the F&B component, CanteenM.
The company also commissioned a series of playful, short animations from French filmmakers the Jullien Brothers to kick off the hotel’s opening.
The hotel’s lobby features a commissioned art piece by two Dutch artists and also includes an open-air patio with hanging lanterns dividing the bar from the meeting rooms. Business club SocietyM additionally has five of its own meeting spaces.
On the hotel’s top floor, guests will find a sky bar, CloudM. First introduced in CitizenM New York, the bar has deep colored oak wooden cabinets and marble bar top and glass bottle shelves.
