Dalata acquires La Tour: Dublin’s Dalata Hotel Group plc acquired the entire issued share capital of Hotel La Tour (Birmingham) Limited for £31.0 million ($US40.3 million) from Hotel La Tour Limited. The 174-room Hotel La Tour, built in 2012, will be rebranded a Clayton.
Earthquake hits Greece, Turkey: Two tourists were killed and several hundred people were injured after an earthquake struck Greece and Turkey. A tsunami triggered by the quake also caused flooding in Turkey.
