Fargo, North Dakota-based hotel developer and manager TMI Hospitality has been acquired by an affiliate of Aimbridge Hospitality for an undisclosed price, growing Aimbridge’s portfolio to nearly 700 hotels and 80,000 guest rooms.
Plano, Texas-based Aimbridge, one the largest independent management company of upscale, independent, and branded hotels in North America and the Caribbean, is adding close to 200 hotels and is now one of the largest franchise operators of the Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt brands.
Aimbridge President and CEO Dave Johnson said the company intends to maintain a strong presence at the Fargo corporate office.
