David Bodette was named GM of Gurney’s Newport Resort & Marina in Rhode Island.

Topnotch Resort in Stowe, Vermont named Robert Burnetti general manager. He was previously general manager of the Hotel Viking, located in Newport, Rhode Island.

Tod Chambers was named managing director of Waldorf Astoria Chicago and Conrad Chicago. Chambers most recently served as GM of The Roosevelt New Orleans, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

Carl Emberson was named director of marketing and operations of the Punta Mita resort in Mexico. Most recently, Emberson was the director of marketing and operations at Mayakoba, an eco-luxury resort in the Riviera Maya.

Made, opening in New York City in September, has made several appointments: Brian Fahey as GM; Diane Black as director of sales; Greg Proechel as executive chef; and Charles Seich as food & beverage partner.

Thomas Fischer was named as GMof the Steigenberger Hotel Munich, which will open in December. Fischer most recently worked as GM for Corinthia Hotels & Resorts in London and Budapest.

Capella Singapore named Fernando Gibaja as its general manager. He joins the company from Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel & Spa, a luxury hotel located on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah.

SaltRock Southwest Kitchen at Kimpton Amara Resort and Spa in Sedona, Arizona named Tommy Girrbach as GM. Girrbach most recently served as the general manager of 39 Degrees at The Sky Hotel in Aspen.

Jorge Gonzalez was named general manager of The Post Oak at Uptown Houston. Gonzalez most recently served as GM and area vice president of Mandarin Oriental Miami.

McKibbon Hospitality named Jess Hayden as director of procurement. Hayden most recently worked as a manager at Avendra, where she oversaw field operations and customer support.

Jennifer Kirby was named spa director for The Guerlain Spa at New York’s Plaza Hotel.

Hershey Entertainment & Resorts named John Lawn as its new chief executive officer. Lawn succeeds Bill Simpson, who is retiring at the end of the year and will hold the title of CEO Emeritus until his retirement.

Marriott International has named Silvija Lovreta as director, International Hotel Development South Eastern Europe. Prior to joining Marriott International development team in Europe, Lovreta held the position of managing partner with Horwath HTL. The hotel company also named Alexey Korobkin, senior director, development in Russia & the CIS. Prior to joining Marriott, Korobkin held the position of development director for Russia and the CIS with InterContinental Hotels Group.

Hard Rock International appointed three executives: Jon Lucas was appointed chief operating officer for Hard Rock International; Dale Hipsh, was promoted to senior vice president, overseeing the entire hotel portfolio for Hard Rock International; and

Sean Caffery who will find new development locations, countries and partners for the casino business throughout North and South America.

Sara Malloy has been named director of hotel sales at The Mayflower Hotel, Autograph Collection in Washington, D.C. Most recently, Malloy served as the Tysons Corner area sales leader in northern Virginia.

The Chattanoogan hotel in Tennessee named Tanner Marino as executive chef.  

Miami-based Celino South Beach appointed Lucy Martin as general manager. Most recently, Martin was the general manager at Shore Club in South Beach.

Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii appointed Alastair McAlpine as general manager, encompassing both the 213-room AAA Five Diamond Four Seasons Resort Lanai and Four Seasons Resort Lanai, The Lodge at Koele.

Fairmont Mayakoba in Riviera Maya promoted Alonso Ortiz to entertainment and sustainability manager.

Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta named Michael Patria as executive chef. In his role, Patria will oversee the kitchen of Park 75 and its lunch and dinner outlet, Bar Margot. 

Elias Pertoft was appointed managing director of Rosewood Luang Prabang, Rosewood’s first ultra-luxury tent and villa encampment in Laos scheduled to open later this year. Prior to Rosewood, Pertoft was general manager of Maikhao Dream Villa Resort and Spa in Thailand.

Kokua Hospitality, an independent hotel management company based in San Francisco, appointed Lauren Rawlins as director of sales and marketing at Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach.

Franco Rienzo was named GM of andBeyond Matetsi Private Game Reserve, which reopened in Zimbabwe in August following a US$10 million rebuild and renovation. Rienzo previously worked at the Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort Mozambique.

Geneya Sauro was promoted to general manager of the Loews Minneapolis Hotel. Most recently, Sauro was the hotel’s executive assistant manager.

Sixteen at Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago named Adam Stark as restaurant manager. Previously, Stark worked at Alinea restaurant, his first stint in front-of-house operations.

Belmond El Encanto in Santa Barbara appointed Alison Brainard Sydney as director of sales & marketing. She most recently served as a task force director of sales and marketing for Interstate Hotels & Resorts.

Soori Bali made two appointments: Andy Taylor as traditional medicine practitioner at Soori Spa and Diego Martinelli as executive chef.

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants named Ginny Too as SVP of people & culture. Prior to this role, Ginny led operations and corporate functions as vice president of HR for the Americas at Kimpton’s parent company, InterContinental Hotels Group.

JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa appointed Angelo Vignola as the resort’s new director of sales and marketing. Vignola previously held the international sales director role with Eleganzia Hotels & Spas for the Forte Village Resort in Sardinia and Castel Monastrero Resort in Tuscany. 

Niklas Wagner was appointed director of operations at Hotel Bocage Hua Hin and Mantra Samui Resort on the island of Koh Samui. Previously, Wagner held senior management roles with Four Seasons and Hyatt in America, Qatar, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Korea and in his hometown Hamburg.

Aimbridge Hospitality named T. Seth Williams to head of Asian capital markets. Prior to joining Aimbridge, Seth advised companies across the U.S. on China strategies. 

Greystone Hotels named Dayna Zeitlin vice president, sales strategy and market development.
