The Peninsula Beverly Hills named Darlene Adams as director of sales and strategy. Most recently, in 2014, she joined Aman Resorts in a regional capacity before leaving to start her own marketing and branding firm. 

Kellee Amerman was named director of benefits and total rewards for Stonebridge Companies in Denver, Colorado.

Jumeirah Group appointed Stefan Bollhalder as managing director of Madinat Jumeirah, the group’s flagship Arabian resort. 

The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common named Robert Bruce as its executive chef. Most recently, Bruce served as executive sous chef at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas for three years.

The Westin Nashville appointed Ross Bruce as director of revenue and James Mannix as director of engineering.

The Cape Town-based Ellerman House named Paul Bruce-Brand general manager.

The St. Regis Atlanta appointed Sheila Buciuman as director of operations.

The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) appointed Kevin Carey as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Carey comes to AHLA from American Express where he held senior roles in the company’s payments and business travel units.

Joel Darr was appointed general manager of the Omni Interlocken Hotel near Denver. He returns to Colorado from Georgia where he was most recently general manager of the Atlanta Marriott Northwest at Galleria in Atlanta, an Aimbridge Hospitality property.

The Marriott AC Hotel Chicago Downtown, owned and managed by Marcus Hotels & Resorts, named Sara Davis-Zapata as general manager. Davis-Zapata most recently served as general manager of Chicago’s Raffaello Hotel.

Texas-based Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa named Sylvia Deer as director of associate services; Tom Chagnon as director of finance; and Riaan Nel as operations for Barton Creek Country Club. 

Arizona-based Lodge on the Desert named Justin Fitzsimons as the new food & beverage manager.

The Charmant Hotel in La Crosse, Wisconsin appointed Michel Gabbud as director of food & beverage. Gabbud comes to the hotel from Chicago-based Trump International Hotel and Tower’s Sixteen, where he served as restaurant director. 

Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) named Mark Gorgon as vice president, U.K. and Europe. Prior to joining ALHI, Gorgon served for six years as director, global Sales, meetings and incentives for Fairmont Raffles Hotels International.

Squire Patton Boggs named Elias J. Hayek as a partner who will work out of the company’s Dubai and London offices. Hayek was previously the vice president, legal – EMEA Division, at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc.

Marriott International appointed Volker Heiden as vice president of Protea Hotels by Marriott, Marriott International, Middle East & Africa. Heiden relocates to the Marriott International Cape Town office from his role as regional vice president finance for the Caribbean and Latin America for Marriott.

Frank Heller was appointed as the new regional director of Rocco Forte Hotels in Germany. Heller was previously general manager of the Charles Hotel in Munich.

Dream Hotel Group appointed senior brand executive Cory Ingram to senior vice president of creative.

Wischermann Partners named Matthew Kajdan as executive chef for The Westin Jackson, scheduled to open in early August.

Hakkasan Group appointed Gert F. Kopera as executive vice president, global restaurants. Kopera joins Hakkasan Group from his position as chief operating officer at D.ream.

Genting Malaysia Berhad named Patricia (Missy) Lawrence as president of resorts World Bimini (RWB). Lawrence will oversee all operations at the recently completed resort including gaming, entertainment, hotel, transportation and dining.

Rosewood Hotel Group has appointed Achim Lenders senior vice president of operations, Americas and Europe. Most recently, he served as Starwood’s global vice president of food & beverage.

Trinity Investments named Craig Lovett as vice president of development. Before joining Trinity, Lovett served as vice president of design and development for Prince Resorts Hawaii, a Seibu company.

The Florida-based Mayfair Hotel & Spa named Jim Mauer general manager. Mauer joins the Mayfair team most recently from independent consultation work.

Sage Hospitality appointed two executives at The Darcy Washington D.C.: Kelly McCourt as director of sales and marketing and Tobias Arff as general manager.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts appointed Anthony McHale managing director of the New York-based The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel. Most recently, he served as general manager of the Burj Al Arab Jumeriah in Dubai since 2015.

Peachtree Hotel Group appointed Clint Militzer as general manager of AC Hotel Atlanta Downtown, set to open in Atlanta, Georgia in May. Prior to joining AC Hotels by Marriott in 2016, Militzer spent several years as a general manager specialist for Marriott International.

Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel named Matthias Mittnacht as executive chef.

Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort in Maui, appointed Scott O’Gorman as its new director of food & beverage. Most recently, he served as director of food & beverage for Caesars Entertainment.

Cupertino Ortiz was appointed executive chef of Rosewood Little Dix Bay, the Caribbean resort anticipated to reopen in December following a complete renovation. Most recently, Ortiz was executive chef at Malliouhana, an Auberge Resort in Anguilla.

Hyatt House Chicago/Oak Brook and Janko Hospitality named Nicole Patterson-Olden as general manager and Kate Francisco as director of sales for the 144-room hotel, scheduled to open in fall.

W Hotels named Haldon Philp general manager of the W Brisbane, set to open in early 2018. Most recently, Philp managed the opening of Sheraton Melbourne Hotel.

Provenance Hotels appointed Jim Pulver as hotel manager at Seattle’s Hotel Max. Pulver most recently served as assistant general manager at Wyndham Grand Desert Resort in Las Vegas.

Rosewood Hotel Group appointed Patricia Rosentreter as corporate director of brand communications, Americas & Europe. Most recently, she served as regional director of brand communications, Americas at The Peninsula Hotels. 

Santa Barbara-based Belmond El Encanto appointed Sara Scott as spa director. Prior to joining the hotel, Scott was learning and development manager at Four Seasons, Westlake Village.

Texas-based Hotel Granduca Austin appointed Francisco Sillero as executive sous chef of Hotel Granduca Austin. Most recently, Sillero served as sous chef for the Corner restaurant at the J.W. Marriott in Austin.

Carlson Hotels named Andrew Skobe executive vice president and chief financial officer. Previously, he served as EVP and CFO of Croscill Home, a portfolio of private-equity-owned companies.

Hilton named John Trovato as managing director of both the Casa Marina Resort and The Reach, both in Key West, Florida. Previously, Trovato acted as area managing director for Highgate Hotels, managing the operations of three hotels in Midtown Manhattan.
