Sage Hospitality has opened The Maven Hotel at Dairy Block in downtown Denver in the LoDo neighborhood. It’s part of the city’s Dairy Block mixed-use development, one block from Coors Field.
Designed by Denver-based Johnson Nathan Strohe, the 172 rooms employ loft-style décor with high ceilings and large windows. Room types include suites and The Maven Bunk Rooms, with a twin bunk bed configured perpendicularly over a king bed.
At the hotel is Kachina Southwestern Grill, a modern Southwestern grill by Sage Restaurant Group co-founder Peter Karpinski, offering what the hotel describes as “the magic that happens when you combine an Airstream camper, an open fire and a spirited culture.”
Other F&B concepts include the Poka Lola Social Club, a cocktail bar that celebrates turn of the century American soda fountain culture. The lobby, restaurant and bar were designed by Brooklyn studio Crème, Jun Aizaki Architecture and Design.
The hotel includes more than 400 original art pieces created by emerging and established Colorado artists, including Andrew Ramiro Tirado, Christine Buchsbaum and Diego Rodriguez-Warner.
Also at the hotel: a 2,300-square-foot Windsor event space that can accommodate groups of up to 200 people with hardwood floors and a mixture of exposed brick and wood walls; access to the Dairy Block’s 4,500-square-foot fitness center; and spa and salon services at The Oxford Club, Spa & Salon.
