L.E. Hotels appointed Bianca Porto Barga vice president of account management. Prior to joining L.E. Hotels, Barga served as director of sales and revenue management for three different properties under Paligroup Management.

SBE appointed Peter Chambers as chief information officer. Prior to his current position, Chambers served as vice president of technology at Viceroy Hotel Group.

Niccolo Hotels made four key appointments to oversee the opening of its new flagship property, The Murray, Hong Kong, opening later this year. Dean Dimitriou will serve as the hotel’s manager; Viola Ting will serve as director of sales; Patrick Ho will serve as director of human resources; and Tenny Kwok will serve as director of engineering.  

Assila Hotel, a new hotel in Jeddah, appointed Harry Fernandes as general manager. Prior to joining Rocco Forte Hotels, Fernandes held various roles in the front office of several London properties including the Hilton Park Lane and the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park.

Enchantment Group appointed Ahmad Ghemrawi as corporate vice president of finance. Prior to joining Enchantment Group, Ahmad was regional director of finance for One Lodging Management leading all financial aspects for 51 hotels across the United States.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts appointed Christian Gonzalez the regional director of sales and marketing for the Mexico region. Most recently, he served as the director of sales and marketing at Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara.

Martin Göschel was appointed executive chef of The Alpina Gstaad in Switzerland.  Most recently, Chef Göschel was head chef at the Restaurant Alte Post in Nagold in Germany’s Black Forest. Alpina Gstaad’s previous chef, Marcus Lindner, is leaving the hotel after four years for a new opportunity in Zurich.

Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Centre Kigali, Rwanda appointed Luís Guedes Ferreira director of F&D. Luis previously was F&D director at Radisson Blu Freetown, Sierra Leone and before coming to Kigali he opened Kempinski Accra, Ghana.

Atlanta-based Hotel Equities named Jim Holliday regional director of sales. With more than 25 years of hospitality industry experience, Holliday comes to Hotel Equities from the AAA Five Diamond Fairmont Scottsdale Princess.

Viceroy Hotel Group has named Tijs Klerx general manager of Viceroy Chicago, set to open in September.

Mexico’s Viceroy Riviera Maya appointed Carlos Zamora Larios as executive chef. Larios comes to Viceroy Riviera Maya from Hotel Matilda in San Miguel where he was chef de cuisine of Moxi, hotel’s restaurant operated by Mexican chef Enrique Olvera.

Jon Mathews brings a wealth of hospitality management experience to his new role as hotel manager of Marriott Syracuse Downtown. Most recently, Mathews was director of operations of the Fairmont Olympic in Seattle.

The 48-room Hyatt Carmel Highlands, which overlooks California’s Big Sur Coast, named Sherry Michelson senior group sales/events manager. Prior to joining the hotel, Michelson served as senior catering sales manager at the Monterey Tides, where she oversaw nearly 40 beachside weddings.

Aparium Hotel Group’s Minneapolis-based Hewing Hotel announces the appointment of Pablo Molinari as general manager of the hotel. Most recently, Molinari was director of operations at the Park Hyatt Washington hotel.

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Denver appointed William Pfenning group sales manager. Pfenning previously spent six years within the Hyatt brand, serving as an office associate and operational liaison at Hyatt Regency Newport Beach.

Benchmark named Lynn Pollock director of catering and conference services for The Chattanoogan in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Pollock was previously assistant director of catering & conference services for the Grand Wailea Resort in Wailea, Maui, Hawaii for over 16 years.

Hyatt Regency Trinidad appointed Anthony Rattigan as executive sous chef. Rattigan previously served as Head Chef at Hyatt Place Dubai for the past three years.

Ruben Sabater was appointed director of operations for Marenas Beach Resort, a Gemstone Collection property in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. Ruben Sabater was previously general manager of The Sherry Frontenac Resort in Miami Beach.

Anguilla’s Zemi Beach House’s management company Trust Hospitality named Ivo Scheunemann as the hotel’s new F&B director. Prior to joining Zemi Beach House, Scheunemann most recently served as the F&B manager for The Seminyak Beach Resort & Spa in Bali.

Main Street Hospitality Group named Eva Sheridan as vice president of people and human development. Sheridan was previously the senior human resources officer at MountainOne Financial.
