News in brief: Evolution, Scout, Martin Resorts

Evolution managing Hotel Angeleno: California-based management company Evolution Hospitality will manage the 209-room luxury boutique Hotel Angeleno in Los Angeles. The acquisition marks the first partnership between Evolution Hospitality and Hotel Angeleno owner, Mark Beccaria, an individual hotel investor with several western U.S. properties in his portfolio.

 


Scout: Scout Hotel & Resort Management will manage Chatham Tides, a Cape Cod shingled hotel with 24 studios, townhomes and suites on the Chatham beachfront. Under Scout management, Chatham Tides will undergo room upgrades this spring, with a more extensive renovation in the fall.

 


CEO of Martin Resorts steps down: Noreen Martin, who built a collection of California-based boutique hotels, has stepped down from her day-to-day responsibilities to become chairman of the board. Replacing her as CEO is Lori Keller, who joined the company in 2013.
